ABOUT THE CLIENT

The Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of BC (RMTBC) is a non-profit professional body for Registered Massage Therapists in British Columbia. With over a thousand members RMTBC caters to the needs of the specialists, making sure that they are able to advance their practice through an acceptable and scientific framework. RMTBC strives to be the global healthcare leader, advancing the study and practice of massage therapy.

After years of using their own custom website solution, RMTBC needed a modern enterprise system that met the stakeholders’ needs and demands. After researching several possible solutions, the client settled on Drupal as the best solution for the organization. There are a good number of benefits to using the Drupal CMS system, they include: Allowing for multiple functionalities, Enhances graphics management, Making it easier to manage users and their roles, Allows for different types of content, With our experience and expertise, Rainy Town Media were able to seamlessly port the legacy system into Drupal while utilizing Drupal advance features to add a registration system, member directory and other states of the art features. It is now possible for members to edit and maintain their profile, while the custom search feature allows visitors to easily search through the member service based on their postal code or other search criteria. For this particular project, some PHP, Drupal, and MySQL came in handy.
